I'm Michael Gresty, principal of Alpha Strategy.
For more than fifteen years I've worked in the operations and technology of large companies — JLL, FM:Systems, and Worldpay (now Global Payments) — and founded, scaled, and sold a workplace-analytics SaaS company, Rifiniti, to an Accel-KKR-backed acquirer. At JLL I owned the technology portfolio for an $800M+ global business line; at Worldpay and Global Payments I built the strategy-and-operations function for partner experience and ran the post-acquisition integration of the two organizations. My clients and customers have spanned real estate tech, construction tech, fintech and sustainability.
After a first career as a software developer for consulting engineering, I trained as an architect — a Bachelor of Architectural Studies at the University of Cape Town followed by a Master's at the École nationale supérieure d'architecture de Paris-Belleville, taught in French — which is part of why real estate and construction technology have run through most of my work.
I'm based near Boston and relocating to the Netherlands, where a Dutch spousal visa application is pending. I hold US, UK, and South African citizenship and work in English, French, and Afrikaans.
Today I work in three ways: embedded as a fractional operator inside growing companies, on technology assessments for investors, and with established firms that need to build a missing capability or fix one that isn't working.
